Ink on paper, various sizes
Monotype
Writings from my twenties is an exploration of memory and transformation. Before leaving Türkiye, Betül Aksu tore apart her teenage writings to distance herself from the past. Years later, in London, she revisits these fragments, recreating them with ink based on the colors and traces she remembers. The monotype process represents the impermanence of memory, offering a visual exploration of how the past is reinterpreted and reshaped over time.
