In 3 dimensional, Betül Aksu plays with memory and perception through the image of a curtain from her childhood home in Izmir. The original image, captured as a small digital file, is enlarged to the point of blurriness, with the screenprinting technique emphasizing this distortion. The large scale of the print forces viewers to step back in order to focus. Two transparent squares resemble the paper 3D glasses that fascinated Betül as a child. The work invites reflection on how memories fade, shift, and become layered over time, altering our perception of the past.
