Aspect Ratio is an interactive installation that examines the two-dimensional relationship between display screens and surfaces through prehistoric materials.

The installation consists of screens made of stone, bronze, iron and plastics. Each material is sized in different aspect ratios to investigate the relationship between conventionality and temporality of technologies.

An embedded movement sensor transforms the sculpture into ambient light through projected light, and invites visitors to intervene in determining the aspect ratio of everyday gadgets.

Aspect Ratio, ekran görüntüsü ve ekran yüzeyi arasındaki iki boyutlu ilişkiyi, prehistorik materyaller aracılığıyla inceleyen bir etkileşimli enstalasyon.

Enstalasyon, taş, bronz, demir ve plastikten yapılmış ekranlardan oluşur. Her materyal, teknolojilerin alışılagelmişliği ve zamansallığı arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek amacıyla farklı en-boy oranlarına göre boyutlandırılmıştır.

Materyallere iliştirilmiş bir hareket sensörü, yansıtılmış ışık yoluyla heykeli bir ortam ışığına dönüştürür ve insanları, gündelik aletlerin en-boy oranlarının belirlenmesine müdahale etmeye davet eder.
