Aspect Ratio presents sculptural screens made from stone, bronze, iron and plastic, materials that span different eras of human history. Each screen is shaped in a specific aspect ratio, raising questions about the power and persistence of technological standards that dictate how images are framed and viewed.

A single projection screen activates through a motion sensor and changes the displayed rectangles based on the viewer’s distance. This interaction reveals how users often adapt passively to fixed formats while inviting a reconsideration of how these systems might be challenged or changed. The work critiques the dominance of current screen logic and asks what alternative visual cultures could exist beyond it.
