Global Talent Immigration Performance is a three-year durational work that begins when the artist’s UK Global Talent visa comes into effect and ends when it expires. The project transforms the legal duration of the visa into both stage and material, tracing the daily negotiations of living and working in the United Kingdom as a legally defined “Global Talent.” Through ongoing documentation and performance, the work exposes the contradictions of recognition and regulation, belonging and surveillance, freedom and dependency.
