Concrete, clay, 60x25x15 cm each
research or display consists of two concrete blocks, one marked with the word "research" and the other with "display." These blocks are positioned on the threshold between two doors leading into the same room. By placing them in this transitional space, the work blurs the boundaries between the objects on display and the research materials still in progress. It invites the viewer to reflect on the nature of exhibition content and questions whether what is presented is research, display, or something in between.
The work is part of Betül’s ongoing Permessus series, where the boundaries between process and presentation are continuously questioned, allowing each element to shift between research material and fictional artifact.
